Emmure is an American band based in New Fairfield, Connecticut. The band has been playing metalcore, nu metal and deathcore music since 2003. Frankie Palmeri and Joe & Ben Lionetti met online through a message forum which eventually led up to Palmeri travelling to see the Lionettis in Conneticut for band rehearsals. The three began to search for band recruits and quickly found bassist Dan Steindler, who was replaced a year later by Mark Davis and guitarist Jesse Ketive from Queens. Emmure played at local gigs in New York from their conception in 2003 to 2005. From then on until 2008, the band went on tour supporting August Burns Red, Burn Down Rome and Misery Signals. The band went on to release an album titled ‘Felony’ which was released in 2009 under Victory Records. The album was received positively by the public and were included in Attack Attack!’s headline tour along with Pierce the Veil, In Fear and Faith and Of Mice & Men. Many more tours preceded their 2011 album, ‘Speaker of the Dead’, such as the Reckless and Relentless Tour wth Asking Alexandria, Miss May I, Evergreen Terrace, Chiodos and Lower Than Atlantis amongst many others. ‘Speaker of the Dead’ debuted at number 11 on the Top Independent Albums Chart in the U.S. and lead to more live performances and tours including Metal Hammer’s “Trespass America Festival”. By 2014, Emmure released ‘Eternal Enemies’ and went on a headline US tour in support of the album. In 2015, all members, except Frankie Palmeri left the band and by the end of the year, Palmeri recruited new band members from Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Glass Cloud. With a new line-up, Emmure produced a 2016 album, ‘Look At Yourself’ with two other singles, ‘PIGS EAR’ and ‘Gypsy Disco’. Emmure has announced on their social media that a new album, ‘Hindsight’, is set for release in 2020.
