Woody McClain is an American dancer, actor, and comedian. Born on May 14, 1989 in Charleston, South California, he was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2012, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of becoming a dancer. He found success and he was able to share the stage with artists like Fifth Harmony and Chris Brown. After that, he began exploring the power of social media. He started making comedic videos of himself that he would then share across all his accounts. Quickly, he discovered that he had a knack for it, so much so that after his parody of Kevin Hart’s “Permission to Cuss” video went viral, he was quickly signed by Hart into his production company, HartBeat Digital. His first foray into acting was through BET’s New Edition Story, where he played Bobby Brown. His portrayal garnered critical acclaim, winning him the Black Reel Awards’ Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series.
