Amy Louise Sedaris is an American actress, writer, and comedian best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Endicott, New York, United States, on March 29, 1961. Amy began her acting career in the early 1990s when she appeared in the TV series Exit 57 and the TV film Big Deals, but she became famous in 1999 when she was cast as the protagonist Jerri Blank in the comedy series Strangers with Candy. She has since been a regular on the TV series Dicktown, No Activity, At Home with Amy Sedaris, The Mandalorian, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Thanksgiving, and Alpha House, but she is best known for starring in the animated Netflix series BoJack Horseman alongside Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Aaron Paul, and Angela Bassett. Her filmography includes The Lion King, Shrek the Third, Elf, Puss in Boots, Maid in Manhattan, and The Boss Baby: Family Business.
