Asante Samuel Jr. is an American professional football player who plays as a cornerback in the NFL. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida, United States, on October 3, 1999. Asante spent his formative years playing for St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Florida State University, and he turned professional in 2021 when he was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the second round of the NFL Draft. Throughout his time with the Chargers, Asante played alongside Justin Herbert, Khalil Mack, Mike Williams, and Keenan Allen. His career highlights include First-team All-ACC and Third-team All-ACC.
