Frankie Negron Bio
Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and actor, Frankie Negrón (born on January 21, 1977, in Newark, New Jersey, United States) is most renowned for his intricate weave of hip-hop, rock, R&B, and gospel into his salsa music.
Frankie came into limelight in 1997 with his hit single Inolvidable from his debut album Con Amor Se Gana. Without much success acting on Paul Simon's Broadway musical, The Capeman, Frankie returned to music releasing two new songs, No Me Compares in 1998 and Lo Que Llevo Por Dentro in 1999.
Since then, Frankie has gone on to record nine studio albums (with 18 charted hits and nine Billboard Top 40 Hot Latin Tracks). Four of those albums were gold and platinum albums with several number-one singles.
He has also won two Premio Lo Nuestro Awards for "Song of the Year" and has been nominated multiple times for Grammy (Best Salsa Album Award at the 44th Annual Grammy Award) and Billboard awards.
In his free time, Frank advocates for the American Diabetes Association, the American Red Cross, and Colombianitos. Frank is also associated with WEA Latina, Univision, and Airgo Music recording labels and has worked with Jimmy Greco and Tom Lord-Alge.
