Beach Fossils Bio

Beach Fossils is an American indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York. The band is led by guitarist/vocalist Dustin Payseur, who has worked with bassist John Pena, guitarist Christopher Burke and drummer Tommy Gardner. The band made their debut with a 7” single titled “Daydream/Desert Sand” in 2010, released with Captured Tracks label, the same year that their self-titled full-length album went out. In 2011 the band released its second EP under the name “What a Pleasure”. In 2013 the band featured the talent of producer Ben Greenberg to release another LP titled “Clash the Truth”. The band was featured on HBO’s drama series Vinyl. In 2017, after recruiting bassist Jack Doyle Smith and guitarist Tommy Davidson, Payseur released a third album called “Somersault”, with guest vocals by rapper Cities Aviv and Rachel Goswell from Slowdive.
