Of Montreal is an American rock and Indie band that was formed in 1996 in Georgia, USA. The band was formed by lead singer Kevin Barnes.
Their debut album, Cherry Peel, was released in the middle of 1997. The band’s second album, A bedside drama: A petite tragedy was released a year later. Of Montreal’s biggest goals has always been to evolve their music as much as they can. Some of the most popular albums they have produced were: Cherry Peel, The Gay Parade, and The Bedside Drama: A Petite Tragedy. In 2010, Solange Knowles, Beyoncé's sister, featured on Of Montreal's album False Priest.
The band consists of eight members: Kevin Barnes, Bryan Poole, Davey Pierce, Zac Colwell, Clayton Rychlik, K Ishibashi, Nicolas Dobbratz, and Dottie Alexander who joined the band in 1998.
