Christian Lee Hutson Bio

Christian Lee Hutson born on November 5, 1990, in Santa Monica, CA, United States is a singer and songwriter, who is mainly focused on a combination of indie pop and lo-fi folk. As a child, Hutson started to play guitar at the age of 12 and was largely inspired by the indie-folk style of Elliott Smith. Later, he formed the Driftwood Singers with Pearl Charles, and the duo released their independent album in 2012. He began his career a year later and issued The Hell with it, followed by Yeah Okay, I know in 2014. Following that, he released a couple of EPs and collaborated with the singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers in 2018. He co-wrote several songs for the debut of Boygenius, and also participated in the Bridgers/Conor Oberst project Better Oblivion Community Center in 2019. In 2020, Bridgers co-produced Hutson’s third album Beginners and since then he has been signed to the Anti-label.
