Jann Arden Anne Richards, better known as Jann Arden, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, actress, producer, and writer best known for her pop music and her work in television. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on March 27, 1962. Jann began her music career in the late 1980s, and she released her debut studio project Time for Mercy in 1993. Her discography includes the hit singles Intensive, Good Mother, You Don’t Know Me, Could I Be Your Girl, and the albums Descendent, Blood Red Cherry, and These Are The Days. Jann began her acting career in 2001 when she appeared in the film Snowbound. She has since been a regular on the TV series ER Vets, Growing Together with Jann Arden, Overlord and the Underwoods, and Wynonna Earp, but she is best known for starring in the comedy series Jann alongside Deborah Grover, Zoie Palmer, Elena Juatco, and Patrick Gilmore. Jann won two Alberta Film & Television Awards for Best Performance by an Alberta Actress and Best Musical, Comedy or Variety Program or Series.
