Coming from Mesa, Arizona, Jimmy Eat World was formed in 1994. They are an American rock band composed of members Jim Adkins, Zach Lind, Tom Linton, and Mitch Porter. They became a big name in the emocore scene during the mid-90s. The band’s name came from a drawing by Linton’s younger brother, where a caption “Jimmy Eat World” was written. Their musical influences are Def Leppard, Rocket from the Crypt, Fugazi, and others.
The band became known for their album “Clarity” released in 1999. Then by the time they released their single “The Middle,” they became labelled as among the figures of commercial rock. Other albums like “Futures” and “Chase the Light” maintained their post in the emocore music genre. Their 2016 album is entitled “Integrity Blues” featuring singles “Sure and Certain” and “Get Right.”
