Soft Kill Bio

Soft Kill is an American band from Portland, Oregon, formed around 2010, when Tobias Sinclair, a famous vocalist, and guitarist put an end to his band called Blessure Grave. The members included Shiloe Alia, Justin Gradin, and Mattey Hunter. The band released the album An Open Door in 2011, which was praised with excellent music reviews as being one of the most prestigious releases of the last ten years of the post-punk genre.Following this album, Sinclair faced some health problems and put Soft Kill on hold for a while. In the meantime, he recorded some demos and in 2014, the band re-emerged with Conrad Vollmer as a guitarist, Owen Glendower as the keyboardist/bassist, and Maximillion Avila as the drummer. They issued their second album in 2015. The Chameleons, Mark Burgess, an influential band in the 80s, being very interested in their music, sponsored them for a tour around the United States. The band covered Tom Petty’s song “Insider” after his death in October 2017. Soft Kill released five albums and several singles and EPs in all. Their latest album Savior was produced by Be Greenberg in 2018.
