Hailing from South Orange, New Jersey, United States, Fugees is an American rap collective that performs hip-hop music. Although the members met while in high school, the trio was formed in 1992 by Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras, and in 1994, they released their debut studio project Blunted on Reality. The Fugees quickly became a hit in the hip-hop world of the mid-1990s with hit singles like Killing Me Softly, Fu-Gee-La, Ready or Not, No Woman, No Cry, and the album The Score. The group has gone through a few hiatuses in the years since, but they regularly come together to perform at special events. The Fugees were featured in the album 90s 100 Hits alongside fellow musical artists A Tribe Called Quest, Rick Astley, Britney Spears, and Backstreet Boys.
