Sam Hunt is an American country singer-songwriter from Cedartown, GA. He is also a former college football quarterback, playing for both Middle Tennessee State University and University of Alabama at Birmingham before being signed, briefly, as a free agent to the Kansas City Chiefs. Sam Hunt has previously co-written songs for Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban, including the chart-toppers “Come Over” and “Cop Car.” His debut EP, X2C, debuted at number 5 on the US Country charts. His debut album, Montevallo, is set to be released on October 27th, 2014. The first single off this album, “Leave the Night On,” peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and at number 3 on both the US Country Airplay and US Hot Country Songs charts.
