Thora Birch is an American actress and producer. She was born on the 11th of March, 1992, in Los Angeles, California, U.S. She made her film debut as a child, in 1988, playing in the movie “Purple People Eater” directed by Linda Shayne. Her performance earned her a Young Artist Award for Best Young Artist Under Nine Years of Age. She made appearances as a child star in movies such as “All I Want for Christmas”, “Hocus Pocus”, “Monkey Trouble”. In 1999 she landed her breakthrough role in the acclaimed film “American Beauty”, for which she earned a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 2003, she got nominated for playing the lead role in “Homeless To Harvard: The Liz Murray Story”. She also holds credits in the movies “Dungeons & Dragons”, “Silver City”, “Winter of Frozen Dreams” and “Petunia”.
