Vivica A. Fox is an American actress, producer and television host. She was born Vivica Anjanetta Fox on the 30th of July, 1946, in South Bend, Indiana, U.S. She began her professional acting career in the late 1980s with recurring roles on television shows like “Days of Our Lives” and “Generations”. She made her big screen debut in Oliver Stone’s war film “Born on the Fourth of July” and soon, she started appearing in popular television series like “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” starring Will Smith and “Beverly Hills, 90210”. In 1992, she starred opposite Patti LaBelle in the sitcom “Out All Night” which earned her further recognition. In 1996 she got her breakthrough when she starred in two box-office hit films “Independence Day” and “Set It Off”. She holds credits as an actress in more than 20 movies including “Kill Bill”, “Soul Food”, “Batman and Robin”, “Ella Enchanted”, and many others. As a producer she has worked alongside VH1 in the reality show “Glam God” as well as the film “The Salon”, “Two Can Play the Game” and its sequel. In 2020 she starred in the movie “Arkansas” with John Malkovich, Vince Vaughn, and Liam Hemsworth.
