Jesse James Rutherford, also known as jesse®, is an American singer and songwriter who performs alternative rock music. He is best known as the lead singer of the rock band The Neighborhood. He was born in Newbury Park, California, United States, on August 21, 1991.
Jesse began his career in entertainment as an actor in 2002 when he appeared in the films Life or Something Like It and Ted Bundy, but in 2011, he switched his focus to music when he formed the rock band The Neighbourhood, which also features Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, and Mikey Margott. His discography with the band includes the hit singles Sweater Weather, Daddy Issues, You Get Me So High, and the album Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones.
He occasionally releases solo music under the name jesse®, and his solo discography includes the hit singles Bloom Later, Girls & Boys, and Barbie & Ken.
