Ra Ra Riot Bio
Ra Ra Riot is a rock band from Syracuse, New York, United States. The band was formed in 2006, and its members include keyboardist/vocalist Wes Miles, keyboardist/guitarist Milo Bonacci, drummer/programmer Kenny Bernard, backing vocalist/violinist Rebecca Zeller, and bass guitarist/backing vocalist Mathieu Santos. Initially, the band members played at houses and different venues at Syracuse University. They started gaining fame and eventually appeared at the CMJ Music Marathon only six months after the band was formed.
In May 2008, they signed with Barsuk Records and released their first album, titled “The Rhumb Line,” in the same year. The following year, they released the EP “Can You Tell,” followed by the second album titled “The Orchard.” In 2011, the band was nominated for Independent Music Awards in the category Pop/Rock Album for their second album. Other albums released by the band are “Beta Love” in 2013, “Need Your Light” in 2017, and “Superbloom” in 2019.
