The Black Seeds are a reggae / rocksteady fusion group from New Zealand. They bring elements of funk, afro-pop, and even dubstep into their performances, laced with a laid-back NZ tone. Their big break into worldwide fame came when their single “One By One” was used in the soundtrack of the hit TV series “Breaking Bad.” They’re better known for their stage performances, being an act oriented to the stage, with an ensemble of up to eight instrumentals.
The Black Seeds have released three albums to tremendous international appeal throughout France, Belgium, Australia, and Switzerland. Their second album, “On The Sun” (2004) went double-platinum in New Zealand. Their third album, “Into The Dojo” (2006) went to #1 on the New Zealand album charts. They also tour the EU and US.
