Ben Fogle is a British TV presenter, adventurer, and writer born in London in 1973. After attending the University of Portsmouth and the University of Costa Rica, he enrolled in the British navy, and in 2000 he joined the cast of the survivor-type reality show “Castaway 2000.” After this experience, Fogle started hosting nature and exploration TV shows and documentaries for networks like BBC, ITV, and Discovery, including “Crufts,” “One Man and His Dog,” “Countryfile,” and Country Tracks.” In 2010 he joined Prince William in a royal tour through Botswana, broadcasted as “Prince William’s Africa.” In 2006 he ventured into authorship with the travel journal-style book “Offshore,” and with “The Crossing,” a story about his transatlantic rowing journey, written in collaboration with James Cracknell.
