YEBBA is the stage name by which the American singer and author Abbey Smith is known. She was born in Memphis, Arkansas on the 16th of January, 1995. Smith was brought up surrounded by music, as her father was an organ player in her family church. In 2018, she began working on the production of the video for her first single, “Evergreen” in collaboration with Zane Lowe and with the support of Apple Music and Beats1. During the next year, she released her debut studio album “Toast to Our Differences” which included the song “They Don’t Care About Us” in which she collaborated with Maverick Sabre. That same year, YEBBA won her first Grammy for Best Traditional R&B with her song “How Deep is Our Love” at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
