Ruel Bio

Ruel van Dijk, whose stage name is simply Ruel, was born in London, UK on October 29, 2002. He grew up in Australia, and his cover of Jack Garratt’s “Weathered” on the radio station Triple J attracted much attention.

He worked with M-Phazes on his debut single “Golden Years” in April 2017, and he dropped another single “Don’t Tell Me” in the same year. He also supported Angus & Julia Stone and Khalid during their tours. His second single was used in a commercial for Beats by Dre.

In 2018, he released the EP produced by M-Phazes, Ready, which contains six tracks. The album peaked at No. 3 of the NZ Heat Chart and No. 76 of the Australian charts.

He was also featured on Tom Thum’s “Human.” Ruel played at Tokyo’s Pop Spring Festival and during the 2018 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
