Whitey Morgan and the 78's are an American country band, based in Michigan, US. The band is composed of Whitey Morgan, who’s real name is Eric Allen, on vocals and guitar, Jeremy Mackinder on bass, Dylan Dunbar on guitar and Jack Schneider on drums. They started their band career in 2005, under the name Whitey Morgan and the Waycross Georgia Farmboys, and they recorded a self-produced EP that included the songs "Goodbye Dixie," "Prove It All To You," and "If It Ain't Broke”. In 2009, the band changed its name for the current one and they added Tamineh Gueramy to he band. They released a new album, titled Whitey Morgan and the 78’s in October, 2010 and the composition of the band changed again, when Benny James and Mike Popovich left the band, and were replaced by Travis Harrett on the drums and Brett Robinson on guitar. The band has toured relentlessly averaging over 125 shows annually, since 2010. The Rolling Stone Magazine has described the band lead, Whitey Morgan as a "Waylon Jennings acolyte... modern day outlaw [with a] hard hitting blue-collar brand of music".
