UNKLE also known as U.N.K.L.E. are a British trip hop and electronic music band. The band was founded by James Lavelle in 1992. Besides Lavelle, the band consists of Matthew Puffet, and Jack Leonard, although they have worked with a large variety of guest artists like DJ Shadow, Toshio Nakanishi and K.U.D.O. They have also performed alongside musicians like Ian Brown, Oasis, The Black Angels, among many others. In 1998, they released their debut studio album titled “Psyence Fiction” which included collaborations with major artists including Thom Yorke, Mark Hollis and Mike D. In 2001, they released a DJ mix called “Do Androids Dream of Electric Beats?”. Their second studio album titled “Never, Never, Land” was released in 2003. In 2007, they released their third album titled “War Stories”. In 2008, they released “More Stories” which contained remixes, unreleased songs and music they composed for the movie “Odyssey in Rome”. From 2008 to 2019 they released 4 more albums, including “The Road: Part I” and “The Road: Part II”.
