Jeff Probst is an American game show host and producer born in Wichita, Kansas on November 4, 1961. He is best known as the host of the U.S. version of the reality television show Survivor. Probst has hosted several other shows, including Backchat, Sound FX, Rock & Roll Jeopardy!, The Greatest Event in Television History, and The Jeff Probst Show. He was also a frequent guest on the sketch show MADtv and has made appearances in a number of shows like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, I Get That a Lot, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, and Life in Pieces. In 2001 he wrote and directed his first film titled Finder’s Fee and has also directed the film Kiss Me. In 2013 he co-authored the book Stranded with Christopher Tebbetts, the first book in a trilogy. In 2008 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program. He won it again in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
