Tonic is an American rock band that was formed in 1993 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The founding members of the band were frontman Emerson Hart (guitar, vocals, piano), Jeff Russo (guitar, piano & vocals), Dan Rothchild (bass) and Kevin Shepard (drums).
Tonic worked with producer Jack Joseph Puig to release their debut album Lemon parade which appeared in July 1996. They released a couple of well known soundtracks including Scream 2, The X Files and Clay Pigeons before leasing their 1999 album Sugar. Their fame rose to prominence when they received two Grammy nominations: one for Best Rock Performance By A Duo or Group With Vocal for Take Me As I Am and Best Rock Album. Their self-titled album Tonic was released in 2010 and Lemon Parade Revisited arrived in 2016.
