Scott Stapp is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born in Orlando, Florida on August 8, 1973. He is best known for being the front-man of the rock bands, Creed and Art of Anarchy. In 1993 he helped form the rock band Creed with Mark Tremonti. The band was together from 1993 to 2004 and from 2009 till 2012. They released four studio albums and sold over 28 million records in the United States and over 53 million worldwide. In 2001 they won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song. After Creed broke up in 2004 Stapp was signed with the label Wind-up and in 2005 he released his debut studio album titled The Great Divide. The album charted at number 19 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA. Stapp has since released the solo albums Proof of Life and The Space Between the Shadows. In 2016 he became the lead singer of the band Art of Anarchy. The band released their second studio album, and first with Stapp, in 2017 titled The Madness.
