Carla Prata Bio
Carla Prata is a singer and songwriter born on 5th September 1999 in London, UK. She later moved to Benguela, Angola, and spent most of her adolescence there. Her passion for music started at a young age. At the age of 13, her father gave her an MDI keyboard and microphone. Prata published a few cover songs on her YouTube channel in 2013. She also recorded her first song in collaboration with Edson Roberto in 2015. In 2018, she relocated to Lisbon, Portugal.
Prata released her first EP, titled “Vol. 1” in 2016, followed by “Com Calma” in 2017. Her most recent EP, titled “Roots”, was released in 2020. In July 2019, she performed at the NOS Alive Festival after being summoned by Bridgetown. She gained fame from her performance at the festival. Music Magazine Arte Sonora added her song “Nevoeiro” from her third EP to the list of recommended Portuguese releases.
