Viktor Hovland Bio
Viktor Hovland is a professional golfer, who was born on September 18th, 1997, in the city of Oslo, Norway. Hovland began his golfing career as an amateur in 2014 at Oklahoma State University. During a season, he triumphed as the best amateur golfer in Norway, and won the Norwegian Amateur Golf Championship. Additionally, Viktor made history by being the first golfer from Norway to win the United States Amateur Golf Championship, in 2018. In June 2019, Hovland made his debut on the professional circuit at the Travelers Championship. Two years later, he won the Puerto Rico Open, becoming the first Norwegian golfer to ever win a PGA Tour tournament. When Viktor won the BMW International Open in 2021, he made history once again by being the first Norwegian golfer to win a tournament on the European Tour. Moreover, the current position he holds is the 19th position in the FedExCup Ranking.
