Casey Affleck is an actor and filmmaker born on 12th August 1975 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, United States. He’s the younger brother of the famous actor, Ben Affleck. Casey has appeared in a wide range of films and television series in his career. He started his career in the ‘80s with the film “Lemon Sky”. His breakthrough came in 1995 when he was cast in the film “To Die For”. His performance in the film impressed director Gus Van Sant, who went on to feature him in back-to-back films.
Casey would later land prominent roles but was always cautious about the roles he chose. Many called him a perfectionist. Finally, his hard work paid off when he was nominated for the Academy Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his role in the drama movie “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” in 2007. He started landing better roles in films such as “I’m Still Here”, “The Killer Inside Me” and “Gone Baby Gone”.
