Uriah Heep are an English heavy metal band. They were formed in London, in 1969. The band went through many line-up changes and they have included notable artists like David Byron, Gary Thain, Nigel Olsson, Trevor Bolder and many others. The core members of the band are Mick Box, Phil Lanzon, Bernie Shaw, Russell Gilbrook, and Davey Rimmer. Alongside Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Uriah Heep is one of the most representative British bands of heavy metal. Their debut album titled “Very ‘Eavy, Very ‘Umble” was an instant success. Over the course of their career, Uriah Heep released twenty-four studio albums, twenty live albums, and forty compilation albums. Twelve of their albums made it to the UK Albums Charts, and “Demons and Wizards” was definitely the most successful reaching number 23, in 1972. The band has played across the world, in countries like the Balkans, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia and Scandinavia. Uriah Heep has sold over 45 million albums worldwide and some of their most well known songs are “Easy Livin'”, “Sweet Lorraine”, “The Wizard”, and “Stealin'”.
