Also known as Deathride, DevilDriver is a melodic death metal band coming from Santa Barbara, California. After the disbandment of Coal Chamber, Dez Fafara joined Evans Pitts, Jeffrey Kendrick, John Miller, and John Boecklin forming the DevilDriver. Under the label Roadrunner, they released their debut in 2003. Then it had a follow-up entitled “The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand.” By 2007, “Last Kind Words” was released, but still didn’t get anywhere.
In 2009, their “Pray for Villains” reached the 35th spot on Billboard 200. DevilDriver toured with other bands like Slipknot and Behemoth. Their fifth album “Beast” was released in 2011, produced by Mark Lewis. By 2014, the band went on hiatus but got back by 2016 releasing “Trust No One.”
