Akul Balaji is an actor and TV host born in Andhra Pradesh, India, on February 23, 1979. He won the second edition of Bigg Boss Kannada. In 2006, he starred as Thippaga in Kallarali Hoovagi. Akul won the 2010 Big FM Big TV Award for Most Popular Anchor.
He has hosted Zee Kannada's Kuniyonu Baara and Comedy Killadigalu, Asianet Suvarna's Pyate Hudgir Halli Lifu, Halli Haida Pyateg Banda, and Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru, ETV Kannada's Mane Munde Mahalakshmi and Thakadimitha Dancing Stars, and Zee Telugu's Sye Ante Sye. In 2013, he starred in Pyarge Aagbittaite and Loosegalu.
Akul hosted an episode of the Anubandha Awards in 2021. Between 2021 and 2022, he starred as Abhiram in Oohalu Gusagusalade.
