Mobb Deep is an American hip hop and rap duo made up of members Havoc (Kejuan Waliek Muchita, born 1974 in New York, USA) and Prodigy (Albert Johnson, born 1974 in New York, USA, died 2017.) Often cited as being gangsta or hardcore hip hop, Mobb Deep released their first album, “Juvenile Hell” in 1993. Despite the hard work they put into their album, it wasn’t until the release of their 1995 sophomore “The Infamous” that their career took off. They released a total of nine studio albums, the most recent one being “The Infamous Mobb Deep” in 2014. Mobb Deep was associated with RCA Records, Columbia, G-Unit, Interscope, Island, and Jive.
