Christopher Alan Archer, better known as Chris Archer, is an American professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, on September 26, 1988. Chris spent his formative years playing for Clayton High School, and after graduation, he turned professional in 2012 when he was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the fifth round of the MLB Draft. He has since represented the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Minnesota Twins, and throughout his time with the Twins, Chris played alongside Carlos Correa, Byron Buxton, Gary Sanchez, and Joe Ryan.
