Born on 21st May 1968 in Kottayam, Kerala, Seema.G.Nair is a well-known Malayalam TV and film actress. She hails from a family of theatre actors. This pushed her to pursue a career in performing arts from a young age. She studied music at the R.L.V College of Music and Fine Arts in Tripunithura. At 17, she started her career in theatre with the play, ‘Kanyakumariyil Oru Kadamkadha.’ She has performed in over 1000 plays since. In 1992, she bagged the Kerala State Amateur Drama Awards. She played several minor roles in serials and films. Her debut TV serial was ‘Cherappayi Kadhakal. She has also appeared in reality TV shows like ‘Nakshathradeepangal,’ and ‘Rasikaraja No.1.’ In 2014, she acted in a short film, ‘Moksham,’ which earned her a Kerala State Award for Best Actress. She has won a Tharangini Television Award for Best Supporting Actress and an Asianet Television Award for Best Character Actress for her role in the TV serial, ‘Vanambadi.’ Seema is a noted philanthropist who won the Moter Teresa Award in 2021.
