The Cinematic Orchestra Bio

The Cinematic Orchestra is a British electronic jazz music group, founded in 1999 by Jason Swinscoe. The band has had many changes in the line up but some of the most prominent members are Dominic Smith, Patrick Carpenter on the turntables, Tom Chant as the saxophonist and Stuart McCallum on the guitar. They released their debut album “Motion” in 1999. The record was a huge success, and their career took off, soon releasing their second opus “Every Day”. The album reached number 54 in the UK Albums chart and it solidified their reputation as musicians. They released two more album between 2007 and 2019, “Ma Fleur” and “To Believe”. The latter was a success, reaching number 19 in the UK Albums chart.
