Gerd Janson Bio
Gerd Janson, also known as Tuff City Kids and DJ Oyster, is a German DJ and electronic music producer. He was born and raised near Frankfurt, and he started developing an interest in music from a young age. He started working with fellow DJ Thomas Hammann in the early 2000s, and together they held a residency at Robert-Johnson club, in Frankfurt. During those years, they performed alongside prominent artists such as Kenny Dixon, Theo Parrish and Maurice Fulton. In 2010, the duo produced a compilation album which got fairly well received by the critic. In 2013, Janson performed in Brazil, Israel, Australia, and Singapore, among many places, besides being named second best DJ of the year by de:bug’s. He started working at the Running Black label, scouting and producing rising electro house stars, such as Tensnake, and Todd Terje.
