Olivier Mateu, popularly known by the moniker Rodriguez Jr., is a singer and songwriter who was born in France.
Olivier is best known as one half of the French electro act 'The Youngsters'. The group rose to fame for their albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s F-Communications. Rodriguez’s raw creativity was a critical part of the group’s success. He draws inspiration from artists like LFO, Carl Craig, Eric Satie, Kraftwerk, and Michael Polnareff. His albums include 2011’s Bittersweet, 2017’s Baobab, and 2020’s Blisss.
He has released a number of singles but the most popular by far are 2008’s Rubbo Swingo and 2016’s Mistral (Remixest).
