Also known to perform under the name System F, Ferry Corsten is a DJ and producer who was born on December 4, 1973, in the Netherlands. He became very interested in electronic music and remixing when he was a teenager, and made some money on the side selling his mixtapes to the local kids. In the 1990s, he self-released some material that brought him the attention he needed, finally releasing the charting single “Don’t Be Afraid”. In 1997, Ferry Corsten became the co-owner of the label Tsunami, through which he released his project System F, an album entitled Out of the Blue.
2001 saw Ferry Corsten’s appearance at the Dance Valley Anthem, an event which was held in his country, and as of the early 2000s, he was recognized as having the largest number of dance singles to appear on the UK charts. He is most known for his remixes of the songs “Madagascar” and “Out of the Blue”. Performing as Ferry Corsten, he would go on to release the albums Right of Way in 2003, L.E.F. in 2006, Twice in a Blue Moon in 2008, and WKND in 2012.
