Kalush Bio
Kalush, also known as Kalush Orchestra, is a rap and hip-hop group formed in 2019 in Ukraine. They are associated with Def Jam, Columbia, and Relentless labels. The group comprises rapper Oleh Psiuk, multi-instrumentalist Ihor Didenchuk, and breakdancer Vlad Kurochka (MC KylymMen). Other members include Tymofii Muzychuk (vocals, telenka), Vitalii Duzhyk (sopilka), and Sasha Tab (backing vocals).
The group is best known for fusing hip hop with folk motifs and elements from Ukrainian traditional music. They released their debut album, HOTIN, in February 2021 under Def Jam. The ЙО-ЙО (aka YO-YO) album, a collaboration with rapper Skofka, followed in July 2021.
Kalush Orchestra represented Ukraine at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. The group scored 631 points and performed their song, Stefania, to win the contest. The song has 36,226,940 streams on Spotify. They have 1,135,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. They have verified Instagram and TikTok accounts with 693,000 and 763,700 followers, respectively.
