Ronald David Wood, widely known as Ronnie Wood, is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, painter, radio personality, songwriter, and record producer born in Hillingdon, England, on June 1, 1947. He began his career in 1964 as a guitarist for the Birds on guitar. In 1967, he joined the Jeff Beck Group as a bass guitarist.
Ronnie joined Faces with Rod Stewart. He released solo albums in 1974 (I've Got My Own Album to Do) and 1975 (Now Look). After joining the Rolling Stones, he appeared on several albums, including the 1977's Love You Live and 1978's Some Girls albums. Ronnie has been featured on recordings by David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Donovan, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, and B.B. King.
He received a nomination for Best Video Album at the 1984 Grammy Awards. Ronnie featured Slash, Flea, Billy Gibbons, Bobby Womack, Jim Keltner, and Ian McLagan on his seventh solo album; I Feel Like Playing.
