Carly Hughes Bio
Carly Hughes is an American actress, born on October 1, 1982, in St. Louis, Missouri. She is best known as Angela on the ABC family comedy American Housewife, alongside Ali Wong. She began her career appearing on Broadway shows, including How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and Chicago. Carly graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in musical theater before moving to New York City to pursue an acting career. In 2003 she received the Princess Grace Award for Acting and Excellence in the Arts. She has appeared in the Netflix TV series Insatiable and HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm before landing her breakthrough role in American Housewife. In 2020, Carly starred in the film The Christmas Edition, opposite Rob Mayes and Marie Osmond. She also guest-starred in the Netflix film Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave.
