Melissa Gilbert Bio
Melissa Gilbert, born Melissa Ellen Gilbert on May the 8th 1964 in Los Angeles and is an American director and actress. Her career began in the 1960’s appearing as a child actor in commercials and guest roles in television shows. Coming to pertinence between the years of 1974-1984 for portraying Laura, on the western drama, Little House On The Prairie.
Going on to work in numerous television films such as The Diary of Anne Frank, Heart of the Storm, Sacrifices of the Heart and The Miracle Worker, she has moved into voice acting in recent years, voicing batgirl in Batman: The Animated Series and many more. President of the Screen Actors Guild from 2001-2005 she is well known for her enduring career.
