Alex Lawther is a young English actor, hailing from Hampshire, England. Having trained at the National Youth Theatre, his debut came at the age of sixteen when portrayed John Blakemore in South Downs a play by David Hare. His film debut came soon after in the biographical film based on the life of Alan Turing, The Imitation Game, in which he played a Young Alan Turing.
He then appeared in the critically acclaimed X+Y alongside Asa Butterfield and Sally Hawkins, this then led to his first leading role in the film Departure. Most recently the young actor played Kenny in an episode of the television show Black Mirror, and plays the lead role of James in the television show The End of the F***ing World, a show that also garnered widespread critical acclaim.
