Ashley Walters Bio

Ashley Walters is an actor and rapper born on June 30, 1982, in London, England. As a rapper, he is known by his stage name Asher D. Walters attended the Sylvia Young acting school and appeared in several stage productions. His first credited role was playing the character, Omar, in the series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones in 1996. He had his breakthrough role when he was cast as Ricky in the film Bullet Boy. For this performance, Walters received the award for Best Newcomer in the 2004 British Independent Film Awards. Walters is also known for playing Dushane in Top Boy and Ronnie Pike in Bulletproof, a series that he co-created with Noel Clarke and Nick Love. As a rapper, Walters was part of the group So Solid Crew before striking out as a solo artist. In 2004, he released his debut album, Street Sibling. He has released several more albums under his Asher D name. Walters released another album in 2009, this time under the name Ashley Walters. He has collaborated with artists like P. Money, Star.One, and Daddy Freddy.
