Tower of Power is an American R&B horn section and band that has been performing since 1968 and hails from Oakland, California.
There have been several lead vocalists, the most well-known of whom was Lenny Williams, who fronted the band from early 1973 until late 1974, the band's most commercially successful time.
They have eight songs on the Billboard Hot 100, with "You're Still a Young Man," "So Very Hard to Go," "What Is Hip?" and "Don't Change Horses (in the Middle of a Stream)" among their highest-charting tracks.
