Ranjit Singh Bawa (born March 14, 1989 in Wadala Granthian village near Gurdaspur) is a Punjabi playback singer and actor.
He rose into the limelight in 2013 for his hit single “Jatt Di Akal” which broke numerous Punjabi records and won the PTC Best Folk Oriented Song Award. In 2015, Bawa released his debut album Mitti Da Bawa. The album won ‘Best World Album’ in the 2015 Brit Asia Awards. Following his debut, Bawa has released other singles including Chad Khera Baniye, Ja Ve Mundeya, Hik Vich Zor, Sarvann Putt, Ja Ve Mundeya, Thar and other albums like, Boti Boti, Dollar Vs Roti, Bandook, Sardar, Jatt Da Dar, and Yaari Chandigarh Waliye.
In 2015, Bawa made a semi-biographical film “Toofan Singh” about the 1980s Punjabi activist Shaheed Bhai Jugraj Singh Toofan. In 2017, he made his acting debut with the film “Sarvann” starring alongside Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal.
