Actress and singer Sabrina Carpenter was born on May 11, 1999 in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. At age ten, she came in third on “The Next Miley Cyrus Project.” Her first acting role was on an episode of “Law and Order: SVU” in 2011. She later was cast as a recurring role on “The Goodwin Games” in 2012. Also in 2012, she performed the song “Smile” for the “Disney Fairies: Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust” soundtrack. In 2013, her song “All You Need” was included on the “Sofia the First” soundtrack. She was cast as Maya Hart in “Girl Meets World,” the sequel to the popular 1990s series, “Boy Meets World,” on the Disney Channel. Carpenter’s debut single premiered on Radio Disney in March 2014. The song, “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying,” was the title track on her debut EP, which was released in April 2014.
