Nina Hagen is a German singer, songwriter, and actress, who was born on March 11, 1955, in East Berlin. Her career started in 1976, when she signed to CBS Germany, formed a band, and then continued to publish her first album, titled “Nina Hagen Band” in 1978. Two years later, her second album was released, and it was titled “Unbehagen”. In that same year, she released her first EP in the U.S., “Nina Hagen Band EP”, which had four songs in total. In 1982, Hagen released her first English EP, “Nunsexmonkrock”, and it was followed by “Fearless” in 1983. “Fearless” was produced by Giorgio Moroder, chartered for a short period of time, and one of the songs on the EP, “New York New York”, became a Top Ten dance club hit. Hagen released another album in 1985, which was titled “Nina Hagen in Ekstacy”, and continued to leave CBS. Her two last publications were an EP titled “Punk Wedding” in 1988, and the album “Personal Jesus”, which was released in 2010.
