Benediction Bio
Benediction is a death metal band from Birmingham, England. The band was formed in 1989, and its current members include rhythm guitarist Darren Brookes, lead guitarist Peter Rewinsky, bassist Dan Bate, vocalist Dave Ingram, and drummer Gio Durst. The band has changed its lineup severally over the years, with some members leaving and others joining. They released their first album, titled “Subconscious Terror”, in 1990.
The following year, they issued their sophomore album, “The Grand Leveller”, which was internationally acclaimed. They went on an extensive tour schedule in 1991, which saw them tour with Nocturnus and Bold Throwers. They were back in the studio that same year for a new EP, “Dark in the Season”. They went on to release the albums “Transcend the Rubicon” in 1993, “The Dreams You Drean” in 1995, “Grind Bastard” in 1998, “Organized Chaos” in 2001, “Killing Music” in 2008, and “Scriptures” in 2020.
